Your baby is growing and he is running out of room. I am in the third trimester of my second full-term pregnancy. All he's saying is that he's there and he's trying to get more room. As he grows, you will notice your breathing patterns change and it will get harder for you to even yawn fully. It's 100 % normal and frankly you should get used to it. If you are just now noticing him thrashing that way, feel lucky. Some of us begin feeling the baby move as early as 14 weeks. both of mine have been very active inside the womb and at night, it will only get worse. feel lucky that you have a baby that will let you know ' hey- I'm here!!!!'

I would mention it to the doctor. Some babies have seizures in the womb. My husband's niece was incredibly active in the womb. My sister in law got kicked about 100 times an hour, and her daughter is now 9 and very hyper

Not to scare you but they do say that id suddenly your baby starts thrashing around and then quits and you don't feel it move for a while you should go to the hospital A.S.A.P!!! It could have gotten the umbilical cord wrapped around it's neck.

At 20 weeks I felt a really weird movement for about 5 minutes, I knew it didn't feel right so I called my ob, he had me come in to check the heartbeat and there wasn't one. She had died from her umbilical cord being wrapped around her neck 3 times. Not to scare you but maybe you should have a call into your doctor

The baby gets just as uncomfortable in there than you are out here. Its getting tight in there. When my girlfriend was pregnant my daughter used to roll and kick so violentlly that it would bring her to tears. Just try firmly rubbing your tummy and massaging the babys limbs so that he or she settles down.

Was Chuck Norris the father? Sounds like he could be practicing a roundhose kick...
;-)
But seriously -- if you have concerns, don't come to the knuckleheads here online (myself included) looking for advice; give your doctor a call and put your mind at ease...

Did you eat something spicy? Don't use caffeine. My son would do that if he was starving and demanded to be fed. You can always call your OBGYN and ask questions. I'm sure they've heard them all :)
