I see no question only a statment with a question mark at the end.

If your asking what does anyone think about parking in handicap parking spaces on private property my feeling is this...

There is only one thing lower than healthy people who park in handicap spaces and thats people who are not handicapped but will use a handicap sign in their car to use the space.

I think in both cases the offenders should be fitted with special leg attachments to make them feel like they are truly handicapped for one month and don't let them park in those spaces. That way they can see what they are doing to others.

And to the follow up question of "Well what if the parking lot is empty, why does it matter one or two spots?" If your truly handicapped it matters. And if for no other reason, because it's the right thing to do. And that's not being idealistic. It's just stupid for a well bodied person to use a handicapped space.

This depends upon local ordinances. It would be hard to answer without knowing where you are, but as a general rule, most such regulations include authorizing the issuance of tickets on private property in order to protect the disabled from having these spaces occupied by able bodied people. Other locations simply authorize the property owner to enforce the spaces through towing and no tickets are given on private property. The thinking is that since the property owner is the one facing a legal challenge under the Americans with Disabilities Act if they do not provide enough parking to disabled people, then it is their problem. This question is best asked in your community -- maybe the mayor's office. Do they have a website? Call the local police chief or sheriff -- they would know.

Since municipalities control the private land and lot owners the lot oewners agreed to let police handle this issue, now you can park in a parking only for pregnant or elderly customers space and people will think just as lowly as if you had parked in a handicapped spot...get off your lazy A** and walk. the rest of us do...Oh ya just pay the fine you earned it...

If you park in a handicap parking space on any property, you are a lazy, thoughtless waste of human flesh.

Bad idea. You'll get pulled over by a truck or get a ticket for a 1,000$.
