They moved to soon! Lebanon was at U.N.direction supposed to disarm those Hezbollah goons since 2001. They did not then and will violate the ceasefire and not disarm, or stop their further build-up now.

Hezbollah needed a spanking. I hardly think that Israel or the US is "playing" at anything. If all your neighboring countries feel you should be driven into the sea, as is the case with Israel, I would think that you wouldn't consider what is happening a game either. They had every right to go on the offensive. It was not the right of the US to ask anything of Israel. Just as it would not be the right of any other country to tell the US what to do if the US was suffering the kind of attacks that Israel was. Wait!! We did!! Oh, that's right, that was our fault as well.
For those who believe that Israel would be nothing without the US obviously has not studied the history of the country or the region. Israel has been kicking Arab butt pretty much on their own since the 1920's. It is actually pretty impressive.
Israel has a right to exist and they are an ally of the US. Being an ally of the US guarantees that the US will come to your aid when necessary. The United States does not cut and run on it's allies. That distinction is left to the French, Germans, Canada and Russia.
I am not fan of Israels. I tend to believe that in this last conflict with the TERRORIST group Hezbollah that they should have handled the situation differently. As an American citizen I am increasingly believing that the United States should become an Isolationist country.
Quite frankly I am getting sick and tired of our country being expected to come to the aid of every joe blow country in the world only to be ostracized each and every time. I am tired of our country being expected to financially fund the woes of the world. I am REALLY tired of the US paying in excess of 25% of the expenses of the United Nations which is a completely ineffective organization. It's only positive function is delivering humanitarian aid where needed. Of course, who is expected to pay for the vast majority of the humanitarian aid distributed? The Americans. The United Nations is a joke. If you don't listen to what they say, they will slap you with a resolution. Years later when you STILL have not done what they have mandated of you then you are really in trouble cause what will the UN do? Pass another useless resolution!! Pullllleazzzee...
Oil, oil, oil.... It is amazing that the main fault that those who hate the US can point at in conflicts like this is the desire for the Americans to control the flow of oil. What a joke. Your argument is getting old and anyone who has a brain knows how utterly ridiculous that is. If the United States wanted to control the oil in the MiddleEast we would have annexed the MiddleEast years ago. They would not exist as they are today. We'd own their aasez... Sound harsh? Just the truth. Why are those who condemn the US regularly about oil not saying a word about Russia or France.? Is it the United States that played a HUGE roll in the "Oil For Food" scandal that rocked the world a few years ago? Not. How come all anyone can do is blame the US when it is Russia and France who are willing to sell out the citizens of the world for cheap oil? Absolutely amazing... For those of you who pretend to care about oil, you are either ignorant or phony. Either way you aren't worth the air you breath.
The only reason that you have multiple other countries reaching "super-power" status in the world today is because of the US. Had the US wanted to "play" rough instead of kissing everyones butt, countries like China would not be where they are today. China is going to be the real threat in the world folks. We'll ALL be speaking Chinese if we aren't careful. Russia would still be licking their wounds if the United States played dirty. Only reason that Russia is as powerful as they are today is because Russians sold to the highest bidder nuclear technology making it possible for the phanatics of the world to have access to nuclear weaponry. Where is the anger over that?
Time to wake up folks... The United States is not the "great satan" as most of the world would have you believe.
God Bless America! If you can't handle that... tough.

The US didn't move late. They simply let the Europeans take the lead. That would be more acceptable to both parties. The UN solution however does seem to be lacking. Deployment isn't supposed to be done until November, and the French were somewhat coy in taking the leadership. Besides what will the UN be doing there if they can't force the Hezbollah to disarm?

No . The US was supporting Israel by supplying advanced weapons so they could be tested in battlefield conditions. They were pleased to prolong the conflict because the weapons of Hezbollah were far weaker and produced far fewer casualties.

I'd like to help answer you, but afraid I am unfamiliar with the 'israli/lebanes conflict'.
Perhaps you mean the 'Israeli-Lebanese' conflict?

To allow the B****** to kill as much civilians. They do not care about Muslim children, they supplied the terror state with weapon at the same time they blocked the aid to them and extended the war. Anyhow, it was a great chance of Hezbollah to get some more of them!

The U.S. government is Israel...The government has control over many countries.
Notice in select Central & South Americans countries they are now switching alliance from the US. They are tired of being controlled and oppressed.

So that Israel would use up a big chunk of their weaponry and would have to buy more from the US, thus putting more billions into their coffers. It's called supply and demand and don't worry about the consequences!

None of your business? The US funds the Israeli military. They pump millions into it every year, loaning them arms and money. If Israel is using that military to attack Lebanon, it's certainly your business, since the vast majority of your foreign aid goes towards the Israeli military.

Hezbolla is a destabilising force in the region and the US wanted to neutralize some of that force. Plain and simple.
