There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......
(L)isten: and validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

A temporary insanity curable by marriage or by removal of the patient from the influences under which he incurred the disorder. This disease, like caries and many other ailments, is prevalent only among civilized races living under artificial conditions; barbarous nations breathing pure air and eating simple food enjoy immunity from its ravages. It is sometimes fatal, but more frequently to the physician than to the patient.

I don't think there is a specific word that describes LOVE. Love is something you feel, and there is absolutely nothing you can do to take love away or even make you love. I know how it feels to love, and i know what you mean by can you describe it. Honestly i don't think any one can. Bye

Love is a warm blanket that wraps you up. Love is when you look at the same guy you've been looking at (and loving) for 26 years and he blows you a kiss because he caught you looking at him. Love is something that takes work and commitment from two people but it's worth it because when it's right, it's heaven. :)

Ah crap - no, it's not God.
Love is the most wonderful, warm, lovely, all consuming way to get cheated on and screwed over that exists.
