If we could all just get along, there would be no need for government anyway. =)

Individuals do have rights and most also are given privileges. I don't know the scope of your question, but I assume you are asking about the rights given American citizens.
Rights are considered God-given, and are not in dispute. Privileges may be earned or granted. They are not necessarily available to all people.
In any government there should be a balance between individual rights and the welfare of the many. When governments severely limit or restrict rights this is an unjust government. Governments generally reserve the right to curtail rights in times of emergency--thus we have provisions for martial law, and we also have wartime measures such as those taken in World War II.
Many fear any attempt by government to impose restrictions on individuals, and such fear is justified. However in the past restrictions have been imposed as needed--i.e. during the Civil War--and lifted when no longer needed.

Every individual have rights. But it doesn't mean that they could use it for the wrong reasons. We are given laws so we can be kept safe whether we like it or not. It's to also keep the country from becoming a complete disaster. If we question authority through the right of free of speech, the government could also understand that sometimes they have to think before they act. Maybe they could learn something new from the citizens and try to rethink a law that doesn't benefit to anything.

Democracy vrs Communism? As you can see, communism never works out because it is way too idealistic. You can never control the rights of ALL individuals. Brave New World by Aldous Huxley also reveals the negativities of taking away the rights of the individuals.

Yes individuals should have rights, we all should. However the rights of an individual should not override the rights of others or society. Special favors should not be given to a few due to political wrangling or as they say "politically correct "( A saying I hate with a passion)

That's Communism, AKA Socialism.
Looks good on paper.
So does an "over estimated" sales plan or profit plan. If it's not realistic, won't happen.
Take a hard look at Social Security. No one will acknowledge that it is a "Pyramid". It's failure as a scheme is beginning to materialize.
Pure and simple Socialism.
A "Pyramid" scheme ignores
"The Law Of Diminishing Returns".

if you give a person full freedom, there can be confussions as one persons right might interfere with anothers there fore controll to a point is useful, certain laws which are benificial to every one, and helps to maintain a good life is a must otherwise if we give all rights to an individual he might just take into his head to kill his neighbour cause he did not like him
