Listen here you little rotten piece of gutter tripe! I think you are probably one of the most rediculously courageous idiotic morons to ever grace my presence.
You mean like that?
I don't know.
Have a great day!!!

I'm as straight up and blunt as they get. I don't hold anything back. I try to tell people in the most tactful way I know how, but even so, the truth hurts sometimes. That's life. I don't have to keep things inside, if I think something needs to be said, I say it. If you want a true friend, here I am. I'll give you an honest opinion, answer, or statement if I feel it's necessary.

Because more often than not, if we take a serious look at *everything* we really think about our friends, they all have enough redeeming qualities that they're worth keeping around, and alienating them by harping on their flaws would ultimately leave you an unhappier person.
Because sometimes what you "really think" of a person is in fact *NOT* your usual opinion of them, but something motivated by a moment of extreme emotion (e.g. they do something particularly boneheaded and you're frustrated with them), and it's good to be in the habit of holding your tongue so that your subsequent expressions of opinion come from a more rational mind.
Because believe it or not, it's *NOT* all about you, and the world is rapidly becoming too densely crowded to support a lifestyle built on antagonizing others.

In society and in life we all wear different masks. For example, in the work place. You can't exactly tell your jerk fo boss what you really think. You suck it up and do your best. When you meet your in-laws for the first time you wear a mask. You are polite and sweet even though they are rude and harsh. Everywhere in life you wear a different mask to hide certain truths. It's normal. It's only then when you become comfortable with a person that you feel that you can be completely honest without worrying about hurting their feelings. It's just the way of life. You don't lie your way through it, you just decide who and who can't see the real you.

Depends. I usually do tell people what I really think of them, if it is strong (like or dislike). If I am irritated, but it doesn't bother me too much... why tell something to somebody who isn't going to change because of it, and I can live with his behaviour?
I mean, so what if you tell somebody he's a coward? Is he going to change? Are you going to become a better person for having told him?
No! But you may have insulted another human being who needed your support just then. Unless, of course, he asked for your opinion - then you should be honest, by all means.

It's because most people find it easier to just be social towards a person they don't particular like. I on the other hand are like very few people, i tell it how i see it and think it. I don't go out of my way just to make someone else happy in hopes of avoiding a dispute. I simple prefer the people i like and the people i don't like know exactly where they stand.

Because we are human beings. Although i do tell people straight up on occasion if i think it is the only way to get them to understand.
I agree though, if we done it all the time then it would be so much easier to take the news

well some people do tell but you also have to keep in mind you yourself are not perfect and people who live in glass houses should not throw stones thats why we have our own opinions and styles and we make our own choices. until the day we all become perfect in every way we will continue to feel different towards any one who does not feel the same as we do, act or believe in the same things we do. and in the end you will be judged far greatter than any judgement you could make

I do that much more often than most of my friends. And they call me a hardass (true, i guess), mean (not sure i agree), and politically incorrect (so what). I tell the good and the bad. It keeps me free. No pretending, no internal struggles, no putting up with crap from folks that i'd rather not waste my time with. Life is too short.

We're all too polite really ... now f**k off and ask someone else your banal questions you timewasting ar**wipe! lol - obviously don't mean that, it's just my childish joke about telling you what I think of you - but I don't know you so I can't tell you to f**k off in the first place ... and you're probably a very nice, well-mannered young person!
