Not during the regular season, but I would like to see it after playoff series, and the World Series. I'm especially impressed that they do it in the NHL will they literally beat the crap out of each other why cant the do it in MLB.

162 times a year? Besides there are many times hard feelings between teams because of brush back pitches, cleats up slides and all the things you don't hear them say to each other during the game...close contact at the end of the game would probably end in a fight. Mainly though it's because of the length of the season, everyone just wants to take a shower and leave because there is another game tomorrow.

Because you usually play the guys several times a year...unlike football. Most guys will go to dinner with players from other teams while they are in town. Most players, from other teams, keep in constant contact with their friends around the league...
In baseball, it's an easy chance for stuff to happen (fights, etc...), so they stopped doing it at the college level (some places in High School).

They did a few years ago in the playoffs. The Cardinals beat the Dodgers and the Dodgers had the CLASS to shake hands. I think it should always happen. Good thought!

Players seem to do this before the games, during batting practice. If you watch BP, you'll see players from both teams being friendly.

They do after the game not on the field. Vladimir Guerrero and David Ortiz celebrate after the games.

They play 162 games a season and many teams more then once a season. It would be monotonous, although good sportsmanship.

well first off they hang out together on the field before the game while stretching and taking batting practice, plus you play 162 games a year and not 16.
