There are loads, but the pay is not the best.

You would be better to look in the London evening paper,or just walk around the sites.
Normally the lads on site will give you a few phone numbers.

I work in the Surrey area so I am too far away to help you personally.

There are loads of agencies that specialise in the construction industry.

You haven't said whether you have a specific profession or trade: agencies may specialise at this level.

Why not approach employers direct? If you look round major sites you will see their signs, with address details. Agencies charge employers (they are forbidden by law to charge applicants) a hefty fee and the best employers may not therefore be particuarly keen to use them.

Buy the weekly magazine "Construction News", which has job advertisements. You should find it in larger news agents. The London paper "Evening Standard" also has job advertisements. It appears daily (Monday to Friday) but job ads. will tend to be concentrated on one or two days a week and I am afraid I do not know which they are.

Don't overlook the Government Job Centres which have have details of quite a lot of vacancies in the construction industry. You do not have to be out of work to apply for a job through them.

Good luck.

Hays Contruction Agencies - they have offices and contacts all over the country. My brother who lives in the Bristol area hears about jobs in the London Area through the Bristol Office.

I like Agencies, but then again, I am biased.

Crack open the Yellow pages under Employment Agencies, and you'll see lots of adverts which lists the sectors they work in. Just find the one you want.

If you can find "Search", that would be a good start.

hays has a contruction department, but you'd be best to avoid agencies and try direct employment.
