Try one looks Reverse-Dictoinary feature, this will do the work for you. In fact you can also put in statements or concepts to get the word you want.

If you can think of another word that is close in meaning, use a thesaurus lookup. Put in one word, and it will give you a bunch of words that mean the same thing, or almost the same thing.

See the link for the Merriam-Webster online dictionary, which has a regular lookup and a thesaurus lookup.

It's called a thesaurus. Yes. You go to:

http://www.m-w.com/

That is the Mariam-Webster dictionary online but instead you click on Thesuarus.

What you are looking for is called a thesaurus.

Check www.onelook.com. Other than that, a thesaurus could also help you.
