Well home fuel oil and diesel are the same thing. Home heating oil is dyed red and diesel is dyed green so cops can identify because you have to pay tax on diesel not fuel oil. Electricity is the wave of the future.

Electricity in homes. For cars, electricity might not be the best option as battery technology just isn't where it would need to be. Compressed air works. Hydrogen is another viable option.

For cars and for heating homes, biodiesel is a possibility. It's a fuel that is made from recycled vegetable oil. It's better for the environment and makes sense, economically.
