work is the essence of humanity. I say that I wouldn't work if I didn't have to- but thats not true. I enjoy working- it makes me crazy when I'm not working after awhile.

Great question, I agree with you on principle, but I would clarify that it depends on how you define 'work'. See, if I had unlimited cash I would probably recard a bit of music, write some books and stuff - things that if you were a professional musician or author you might consider 'work', but I would only do it to derive pleasure from the activity. If I really enjoyed being an Analyst rather than just doing it for the money would I still think of it as work? Probably not. The other day I cooked dinner for the in-laws, and I love cooking, but my mother-in-law was like "thanks for all your work" and I'm like "I haven't done any work. I've been cooking. I love it" and we had opposite perspectives on it.

I'm waffling. If I won the lottery, I sure as hell wouldn't be here in the office like I am right now, so I guess we have to do it to provide the lifestyle we want to enjoy.

Come, let us go and relax in the garden of Eden where everything is available in plenty. In case of drought, let us barter the apples with our neighbours and get our grocery. If something goes wrong with the availability of apples too, then come, let us go and work in our neighbour's garden and earn our wages to buy our requirements from elsewhere.

Thank God, Adam and Eve didn't have any necessity to work.

With the shrinking of earth's natural resources, you and me have to necessarily toil and moil!

I would, but I would at least give myself an extra day on the weekend. I would work Tuesday to Friday and off Saturday to Monday.

If I could do my previous job, on an active flying Squadron in the RAF, then I would happily do it. I truly enjoyed that job. That's the job I would have carried on with even if I had won the lottery.

I know people who love their work so much that they say they wouldn't quit even if they won the lottery.

If I won the lottery I'd quit straight away
