I have seen 2 reg. MD's and 1 ear, nose and throat doctor. They said it might just be an inner ear infection, well they put me on antibiotics, and I still have the same problem. I feel its something internally in my ear. Like possibly a cyst, but they won't listen. Will an xray show anything internally or not? Why are they giving me the run around ? I have health insurance. Professional answers would be very helpful!! Thanks, :)

Xrays genearlly only shown bony abnormalities... not cysts, ect...
Your best bet would be a CT with focus on the ear that is bothering you, so a thin slice CT.
If they won't listen, time to go to another doc for a second opinion.

You saw 2 doctors. You have the same problem. You think you have a cyst. You feel it is in your internal ear. You have insurance. And doctors do not listen. Now lady what is your presenting complaint?

Try the herbal remedies yahoo group - I don't always agree with what they say 100%, but if you check this week's messages they were just talking about various oils to use for ear pain - garlic was a hot favourite. It was fascinating - defnitely what I'll be trying next time!

it's not a cyst, it's an earwig laying eggs that will hatch and then burrow into your brain! Good luck with that!
