Ask the same question when Internet Explorer 7 (final) comes out. It will beat any other living browsers. Until then, Firefox is greater than IE.

Firefox is my browser of choice. Tabbed browsing, plugings, freely available and it's being improved upon still. Internet Explorer was developed pretty heavily until version 6 and it just stopped. For years! I will not support a browser that only comes out with new versions when there is competition. I enjoy surfing with Firefox so much more.

Firefox, hands down...

Yes internet explorer is more main stream and HTML coder freindly (allowing slop), but it has a long history of security issues being that like any microsoft product, it's far too integrated with windows.

Firefox on the other hand flat out works great, and works according to true css/html rules. Of course, you will find that a few sites here and there won't render correctly, but it's usualy the fault of the person who coded the site. I know from experience in making websites, if you want to have fancy stucturing of a site, you have to have a javascript code in the begining of the page so that if Internet Explorer is your browser, it should read one version of your website coded specificly for it, but if it's any other browser, it sould read another version of your site written for true css parsing browsers.

I like both. Sometimes I think Firefox is better but sometimes I think Internet Explorer is better.

firefox, it's the most standards compliant, you can change anything, it's updated more often because geeks everywhere can fix it, and if a site is unable to be read by firefox you can install an addon to have the IE engine read the page.

Firefox uses system recources better, doesn't crash nearly as much, doesn't open your computer to all the net nasties out there...

Firefox is faster and loads more quickly. It has lots of features that IE will add someday after stealing Firefox ideas. It is less susceptible to viruses since hackers get more bang per buck by targetting IE.

Once you try a free download of Firefox you would never go back to IE.

I don't like Firefox because it looks childish. I don't like the way the address line works either. But some things I can only open on Firefox so I'm stuck with it at times.

Firefox all the way! More stable, fewer popups, and tabs tabs tabs. In IE 6 you have to keep opening in a new window if you want to view something else at the same time. ...and every time a new window is open that much more memory is being occupied, therefore slowing down the computer.
