First, Star Jones did not quit ABC chose not to renew her contract but didn't have the balls to tell her to her face. Second, rather than leave quietly and let The View and ABC feed a lie to the press, Star chose to go out her own way on her own terms.
ABC felt that because of the fall-out that Rosie and Star had had when Rosie was a guest, that it would be within the best interest of the show that the two of them not share the spotlight. Star really didn't have a choice in whether she stayed or left. ABC made that decision for her.
Star went out her way not theirs. She has nothing against Rosie or the fact that Rosie is gay. This was all ABC and Barbara Walters. Walters pretended she knew nothing about what ABC was planning to do to Star. She also pretend to be surprised that Star would be leaving. If anything BW was upset that Star didn't follow protocol.

Well apparantly Rosie ssaid all thoose nasty things about Star Jones and Star wasn't too happy about that. However before Rosie was announced as the new cohost of the view, star was told that her contract would not be renewed by ABC and one day star just annouced that she would not longer be coming back to the view for the 10th season.

Rosie went on television and talked crap about how Star lost the weight. It is not because Rosie is a lesbian that Star does not like her. It is because Rosie is a pain in the ***.
B.T.W: I don't like either one of these girls. I think they should put them in a boxing ring so they can beat each other up.

I think Star doesn't like Rosie no matter what. But I think Star left before she was fired, maybe it was just time for her to move on to other things.

Star Jones quit because they were not going to renew her contract. Basically she quit before she got fired. Either way she would have been history.

rosie was very vocal about star not being honest about her weight loss. star led people to believe that she lost all that weight thru diet and excersice but in reality she had surgery. rosie made jokes about it and told the public stars secret

I think Star Jones quit before she was fired. She seems like a cry baby to me. I'm glad to see her go.
