Yes, I heard those comments from her and I think it is sad. She was with them from the very beginning and stayed through for 9 years and now she is bad mouthing them. I don't understand. I hope Barbara Walters has a comeback. As far as Star Jones, I too say good ridance.

"The View" IS a joke. It's typical television pabulum designed to satisfy the frazzled minds of 10-year-olds. Why don't people demand solid, intelligent, in-depth television panels discussing things of real importance? Who cares about Britney Spears' love life, or Christie Brinkley's cheating husband? Why aren't Americans interested in issues that are vital to this country's future. How about exposing corrupt politicians (this could be its own 24-hour-a-day channel). How about discussing ecological and environmental issues that will affect our grandchildren and great-grandchildren if we don't do something abou it now? How about a panel advocating peace among nations instead of ongoing wars? How about an intelligent (that means no Shawn Hannity, Ann Coulture, or Rush Limbaugh shouting heads) talk show offering balanced conservative and liberal viewpoints? How about an entertaining program on American history and our political system? Nah, none of that stuff is "interesting" - we need all the sensation "fluff stuff" about Mel Gibson's drunk driving and Brad Pitt's newest wife. All that cultural stuff we read in the National Enquirer and People magazine! -RKO-

Speaking as a middle age man, the View is a joke. This is not news, it is a cosmopolitan version of a bunch of good ol boys siting around the cracker barrel talking about whatever. What makes me laugh more than anything else it that they take themselves so seriously.
Lighten up View! You're nothing special.

I had not heard this comment, but I'll be interested to see what happens with Rosie joining the panel. I personally am thrilled that Star Jones Reynolds is gone. GOOD RIDDANCE I say.

She's the joke.. Why do people do that? They were so happy when they were doing something, then once they get a better job, they bad mouth the previous place they were at.. It's immature if you ask me.

That was a nasty thing to do. I think her ego got the best of her. She should have been thanking the View for the job she has now.

It IS a joke. I can't argue with that. What is the cultural value? My estimate is zero.
