Killed on sight? They are just people trying to make a living in job that is frowned upon by our society. However, they provide a service that has long been in existance since the dawning of civilization. Locked up for life? Why would that make things any better? You seem to have some issues with prostitution, I don't know how educated you are but you need to be more understanding of certain types of people. They are not hurting anyone. People know the risks with paying for a prostitute and the prostitute knows so also. The social disaproval and shame is bad enough a punishment as it is.

Thats a weird question. Of course not. Most prostitutes are in their situation for reasons of being sexually or physically abused and they gravitated into the sex trade cuz it was all they knew they could do. Some are drug addicted. So why would I want them dead, they are humans just like me. Now wherever there is legal prostitution there are probably less of the problems I mentioned. This is another society problem that is not addressed well in USA anyway.

HEY wise guy!
I think you need to be locked up for life!
If they legalize drugs and allow PEOPLE to express themselves, LIKE you do and every other jerk here...then why not legalize prostitutes?
It is up to each person in the world to be morally correct or NOT, so you choose your life style let them choose theirs.
Maybe they could get organized and have BETTER services.
NO John's,make UNIONS and a CLINIC to take care of STD's.
TAX THEM !
ANYWAY where there is a NEED there is a SERVICE for the NEED.
IF MEN stopped using Prostitutes then maybe the BUSINESS would DRY UP!

Attitudes about prostitution vary widely across the planet. In Europe there are countries where sex workers have the same protections as other occupations. I think the biggest problem in the United States is that women as a group feel threatened by prostitutes through the good 'ol Puritan attitudes about sex and marriage. Personally, I think that it should be decriminalized in the US and that licensing and health requirements should be put into place. This would help eliminate the criminal element and protect women who are victimized under the current laws, both by the judicial system and the pimps and johns who abuse them.

You know, we all have a story that ends up putting us right where we are at any given moment. We've also all made mistakes. I really do not think people just sit and think, "...you know, I want to be a prostitute when I grow up."
I believe a great majority of prostitutes were sexually abused during their childhood and/or teenage years. I believe a great majority were also emotionally abused. I also believe a large percentage also have not had too much a of support system - someone who loves them enough to help keep them from walking down that road.
You have your idiotic solution for prostitutes - but I notice your post never mentioned their customers. What's your solution for them - slap them on their wrists and tell them to go home to their wives and children?

Neither, they do need help though. I know a lot of people are saying they need to make a living, they do, but not that way. There is no telling how many diseases are spread from here to yon because of prostitutes. They get a disease from someone and then spread it to their next customer and then that person gives it to his partner and so on and so on. They need help to get off the streets and learn that they are worth more than just their bodies and what they have to offer.

To tell you the truth I don't think prostitution is a bad thing. I think we all sell ourselves in one way or another. the reason why prostitution is so bad in America (with the exception of Nevada) is because it is against the law. If we make it legal and have criteria it wouldn't be such an issue.

Why are you advocating violence towards women(even though there are male prostitutes as well)? They're making money in the world's oldest profession. In my opinion, it needs to be legalized so that these folks can have access to health care and they won't get caught out there with diseases, drug problems, and the sort. Or they can get assistance to transition into what society deems as an "honest living". Sounds like you couldn't get any even if you paid for it! Shame on you! They don't need to be killed or put in jail. How cruel!

I think it is very sad that someone feels that is the only way they can make money to support themselves or their families and children. Unfortunately, as long as there are other people willing to pay them for what they offer, the practice will continue. Many times, there is so much more to a particular situation than meets the eye-so I will not judge them and say they need to be locked up or killed. That is not my place to decide.
