Can't say with 100% certainty, but when you got rid of your cable box, did you also get rid of your cable connection to your HDTV (as in, did you switch to a satellite connection)?
I assume you went through the DVR manual and followed up-link procedures in order to recognize and store all channels.
You might contact the store where you bought the HDTV, or the manufacturer and get some help.

What happened was they gave you new programs that can be viewed in HD. Every channel on cable isn't HD, only the few that say like INHD or SHO-HD. The same thing happened to us using Comcast when we switched.

You are now receiving digital channels you weren't before. Often, the digital channel of an analog station will not carry the same schedule as the analog. There are also some HD-only channels (Discovery HD, HBO-HD, etc.) that would not appear on your schedule without an HD receiver.
