or should I mine my business...

If other's lives are at stake here, then you have an obligation to speak up. Would you not speak up if you saw someone about to walk into the middle of traffic? Of course you would do something.

Perhaps you should involve authorities and let them handle it. Do you know a Dr. you can talk to? They deal with these ethical issues daily.

In any case, doing nothing is being an accessory to perhaps "Murder". It doesn't sound like you want to live with that for the rest of your life.

You should give the person you know that is sick an ultimatum, that they can tell the people they are with or that you will. Also let them know why it is important that they tell others of there situation. I can understand that you are concerned about the repercussions from others, but people need to know if their health is at risk. Wouldn't you want to know?

Try to convince your friend to come out with this secret. It not only invovles them. If they wont then you have to!
Lives are on the line.
Just think if you were in the situation of the people that dont know. You would want someone to tell you.

if that person doesn't have the decency to stay home until they are better then yeah, i would definitely tell them that if they don't let people know that you will because they definitely would like to know it they weren't the ones that were sick. then, just tell people that the two of you share in common, not blast it in the news or anything. besides, usually, if u tell one person, it spreads from there anyways.

If the person is not being responsible, you could contact your local board of health and make them aware of it. They'll send a professional to talk to your friend and help them to track the people who might have been put in danger of contracting the illness.

You should contact the Center for Disease Control immediately. Now that you've confessed that you know- you could be considered in collusion with the one who is sick and having others get it just compounds the problem. Notify the authorities immediately- it is your duty to fellow citizens!!!!

If the illness is really that serious then you should tell them. Or talk to the person with the illness, confront them and say if they dont tell all these people then you will!

You need to be the one to tell the people that are affected. This other person is being selfish by infecting other people without their knowledge.
