I rather like your second point, but you've certainly made an apt parallel. Still I find it hard to think that the President is alone, running everything; calling all the shots as they say. This is the work of many people, plans with in plans. Same as it has ever been, possibly ever will be. Different players but the same play. It's what makes it all so very easy to follow, even base my future plans around. It's not that hard to figure out that my investments should center around energy and precious metals. Trips to the middle east should be post poned indefinitely. That sort of thing. Oh, and avoid flying, very wise! This war will continue, in one way or another; for the rest of my life. Perhaps it's just the same war, over and over again; new location; new cannon fodder; but it serves the same masters goals. Such is our way, right back to the trees. Fighting over dirt and dinosaur excrement. What a world! We live on dirt and we fight over it! Astounding!

I think President Bush is truly fighting for peace. And agree that peace in this earth is only going to be attained by maintaining a large effective and powerful military with overpowering weapons and the willingness to use them against all aggressors. As long as the country that has this overpowering force (USA) truly believes in freedom for all this system will be the best way to establish peace and enforce it on this earth.

I see no other country on earth with the resources and the belief system that can provide for peace. We are blessed to have a leader with the courage to lead in the right direction at this difficult time in earth's history.

When the USA stops providing the current freedoms to its citizens then the USA will become a horrible force for war and the chance for peace on this earth will vanish until 1000 years after Jesus Christ's second advent.

The Dear Leader has never claimed that he is fighting for peace. The rationale for the Iraq phase of his Glorious Neverending War to Resubjigate Brown People has had about a dozen different reasons but I have never heard peace being one of them.

Bush is an idiot, he is not even capable of speaking in a clear, flowing and coherent way let alone thinking logically. This fact rather begs the question of why were Americas daft enough to put him in office in the first place?

very good play on his own words. Its amazing how many things we criticize in this administration sound so damn funny when all you have to is LOOK AT THEM, dont ya think? Its a golden age for us critics because everyone thinks we are so funny when we arent even trying to be, we only point out the obvious.

Terrible analogy. Why can't people on the anti-war side make good analogies for things? Every time they try to make an analogy to defend their anti-war stance, it's always a terrible one.
