About $1500 as your house is about the same size as mine and that's what I paid.

If you have a central heating system, it is much cheaper than if you have baseboards due to the fact that all ductwork is already in place. In most cases, a central heater can be converted to do both heating and cooling. The cost of installation of the system depends on what brand and how large the compressor needs to be. Call for estimates and get 3 or more estimates and a statement of work before you sign a contract for the installation. A statement of work will lay out how the installer plans on installing the system and what warrantees are in place on the workmanship and on the unit.

It is costly and it depends on the part of the country you are in. The labor is expensive . Depending on the unites you choose you could pay between $3-6000. Please get a license person and make sure they have guarantee on the unites . Ask them to give you the receipt for the unites. They normally have guarantee on them anywhere from 5-10 years or even lifetime warranty. You get the receipt that if anything happen you can call the company and have the unites replaced

Depending on how accessable the crawlspace or ratwall is, the duct work will have to be installed as well as a furnace and compressor. It could run anywear from $1600.00 on up. Make sure you have a licensed Heating and Cooling person do the job.

it does depend on the size of the unit, how much ductwork is needed and if it is easy to run it in the attic, what type of unit you choose, etc. but 3-5k would be in line. i paid about 5k for a 2ton standard unit, all new ductwork, digital programmable thermostat, etc. for a 1400 sq ft home in tx.

Replacement, perhaps $1500, new with ducts and outlets in all rooms, perhaps as high as $3000. Before you buy, get a few free estimates from local companies.

Do you have ductwork already? That's probably a 2 ton unit. With new ductwork, that's going to be around $3000 I would guess.

you should get bids.
Not from Uncle Billy Bob's heating and lawn care.
Allow yourself $6000. and then there won't be any big surprises.
