I was born in December of 1978 so pretty much at the beginning of 1979. I am 27 now. I have seen varied answers from a question like this. For myself I consider myself as growing up in the 90's more so than the 80's and I remember for of the trends from the 90's and events from that time as well, considering I was so young in the 80's....so exactly which one (generation) would one belong to....X or Y?

id say youre just past the mark. your childhood was the 80s. my childhood was the 90s. youre of the MTV generation. im the internet generation. check out wikipedia. they have more than just a simple X and Y.

Definately generation Y though theoritically you would fall under generation X because of the age range.
