I'm not 100% sure about this, because I don't always remember every instance and haven't really been recording anything, so I can't say that this pattern is followed perfectly all the time. But anyhow, I've got this vauge idea that my dreams are affected by how my head is resting on the pillow when I sleep. If I sleep with the back of my head resting on my pillow I often have very vivid and strange dreams. If I sleep with the left side of my head on the pillow I sometimes have nightmares. But if I sleep with the right side on the pillow I rarely remember my dreams, and if I do they're nothing special. I usually sleep with the right side on the pillow, and so have noticed these differences from time to time - not something perfectly predictable (it also seems to depend on the pressure on the area in question). Is this something other people experience? Is it possible? Just want to get some expert knowledge whether is a typical phenomenon or whether I'm just imagining things.

I dont believe you are imagining things, the positions themselves are very important (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/3112170.stm is a latest piece). However your own particular situation could be because of a conflict that would occur from the way your body wants to rest v/s how you are sleeping. The body unconsiously aligns itself to a position of comfort and relaxation and in uncomfortable positions is just trying to get you to change the same

Well, I used to have one of those pillows with the magnets in it. Those were some really messed up dreams. I used to sleep and wake up with vertigo. People who have sleep apnea should have weird dreams too. Perhaps a piece of undigested potato?

That is truely compelling. I have never heard of any connection between the two, but in your case, it just may be. If I were you, I would document it a little more. It sounds very intriguing.
