Y! Groups has groups such as "freecycle" and "cheapcycle". Just type that into the Y! Groups search, then find the one in the area closest to where you live. "Freecycle" is people who are giving items away for free or want to receive something at no charge. "Cheapcycle" are items that are sold at a very low cost or wanted at a very little expense.

Why is it that everybody here seems to want something for nothing? Have you never heard of actually BUYING something? Why should you get it for free - is it just BECAUSE it's free that you want it? In any case, most things I've ever had in the way of freebies are either c r a p or useless or not suitable. Still, if that's what turns you on.........

You'll get these "free" things in exchange for giving out personal information such as your address and phone number. Be prepared to be bombarded with junk mail and possibly telemarketers. You could always give a false phone number.
