Why is everyone calling me a liberal socialists, WTF? I want to move to Canada for various reasons but it has nothing to do with non loyality to my own Country....My life my reasons, back off.
Oh yeah I really like that idiot girl who said I couldn't defect because America is not a third world country. You sound so stupid, you need a lawyer because you are a dimwit. To defect from one's own country only means to give up citizenship here and obtain it someplace else, has nothing to do with 1st world or 3rd world. Try and insult someone intelligently next time OKAY!

here is there web site. You can not defect from the US we are not a third world country or something. Get a lawyer you sound like you need the help. I am American and it took me from 2002 to 2005 to get my pr card which is what they call it here not a green card. After 3 or so years you can apply for citizenship. Best thing is to cross the border rent a place to live and work in the US it is very hard to find good work in Canada unless you have Canadian experience. Even the car insurance is hard as I got an Ontario license and they said i had no driving experience as my license was new they did not take my US experience in consideration. Good Luck to you.. oh also be aware that since George Bush was re-elected the run on the Canadian border from America was in record numbers so it is harder now to get in then it was before.

Honestly people, what is wrong with Canada??? No wonder relations between Canada and the US are strained. We have the same rights as you do in your "Constitution". And for all intents and purposes, how do we know that this person sees something in canada she cant get in the US, Americans always jumping to the wrong conclusion! No wonder you make asses of yourself, always ASSuming. I love the US, but man some of you ignorant Americans, just piss me off! To answer your question btw, just visit the websites that have been provided by the other indivduals, or just come and stay for a couple of months , and apply for a working Visa and all that, you should be fine, Hell You can even stay with my wife and I.

Contact the Canadian Embassy closest to you and apply for residency in Canada. It's possible that you can have dual citizenship so that you don't need to give up your US citizenship.
Other than that suggestion, why in the world would you want to leave all your US freedoms behind?'

You fly into Buffalo NY. Go down Niagara St. Turn left onto Porter Ave. Go over the Peace Bridge (Half way over is the boarder.) and you'll be there. Why are you defecting ? It's very cold up there and they only drink "Blue". You must be desperate. Sounds like you want to rescind your US citizenship. More power to you.

Go to Canada - Canadians have no identity so you will be invisible except as to how you can claim to be different than Americans. Have fun waiting 6-months to get an appointment for your 'free' healthcare
