its a pcv-rx681. i brought it to china and didnt bother changing the power supply because the power supply says it goes both ways (110/220V 50/60 cycles). but now USB devices only have USB 1 speed and the dvd drive refuses to burn anything.

whats going on? i get some error when i turn it on and it refers me to power setup but i didnt change anything out of fear of blowing the processor, can someone help me out? thanks

Hmmm, I did a search all over Sony's site for any info, but NADA!

I really don't see how the USB problem would occur from being used on 220 instead of 110. As for the DVD not writing, it *could* be caused by PERHAPS low voltage. MAYBE the power supply is NOT providing the full voltages when set on 220.

Best advice is to go to their suppoort site and choose either the Live Chat or the E-mail support option.

Why don't you get a power supply addapter, to raise the voltage ?

go to Sony service center. Their answers will be more accurate and they will know the problem.
