I completely agree with you. We have a corrupt government and need to find a way to put a stop to it. It's like little kids in Washington, they are playing games with politics, killing people, wasting money and ruining lives. It's reprehensible.

Well if you are an Eternal Damnationist Christian, your philosophy is part of the problem in this world that fuels the fires of terrorism. There is no worse terrorism than infinite terrorism or eternal damnation belief! One God cannot separate from itself. IS IS. But going back to the original question, I think our government is doing all it can and always has. At the root of National Security is communication and this is where we lack a lot. The people who got the privilidge of going to college and studying often did not get that from their passion, rather from a right from affirmative action or their religious affiliation lending itself to their social status and hence providing the opportunity to "advance" in society. We need people with passion to communicate non robotic views that can dampen the animosity between the peoples of this world if we want real peace amongst us. But until things turn around in our society to respecting the people who come up from hard times and make it without the traditional dysfucntional religious garb attached to the typical collegiate, it is gonna be an uphill battle! People with sense in their brains can tell you that eternal damnation is a lie, totally illogical and yet?, Islamists profess it and Christians profess it. Unfortunately these two groups differ immensely on how one gets it and how to keep one from not getting it. Basically the unfounded underlying (worship, fear, adoration) of this abominable idea is what fuels all the terror in the world. If truth be known, we are on a roller coaster ride from a collective creation and creator, who in the collective sense is One God and everywhere. This is the only logical conclusion of IS and the only way we can survive is by pooling our best civilized functional ideas together and worshipping them even as they change to suite our needs to survive as a civilization. I call this kind of worship, Forgive Affirmed Spirit which harnesses apostleship one unto another, communication for civility's sake. We need not throw out what we have learned from the old philosophies, but to embrace for greater works the evolution of ideas that work today. 2000 years ago if someone didn't like your philosophy, they threw a stone and maybe killed you. Today if they don't like you, they think maybe they need to take out your territory. If we leave these terrorists alone to do their own bidding, then we need a shield and a functional gate around our communities, something we have not yet figured out how to do. So was it a waste or just our government doing everything it could from the perspective of Eternal Damnation Worship as a majority Christian society, to protect National Security? Have you begun to study arabic yet? If you really care about this you will and you will repent from eternal damnation worship and ask others to do that too.

Do a little reaserch before you go claiming we spent 100's of billions on foreign aid. And see how long it took to spend that much.
Then look at all the pork barrel projects over the same period of time and see where we wasted more. To date we spent almost as much fighting the 'War on Poverty' as the national debt is. Foreign aid is a drop in the bucket compared to other things we waste money on.
But I am glad to see you are finally recognizing the incompetance that has run rampant for many decades in DC.
What has being a Christian got to do with any of what you said. I'm sure athiest and people of other religions hate waste just as much as you do.

Isn't leogirl a tool or what. I am pissed as hell that we can spend so much money overseas and not address the many problems that are here at home. Health care, poverty, and the destroying of the middle class by the repuglican supply side economics.

I think you might be oversimplifying it, but I do agree we have spent a fortune on a lot of stuff that hasn't gone as planned. I think America needs to realize it isn't invincible, our resources are limited, and stop thinking we can just keep making mistakes and everything will be alright.

I'm mad when I see my tax dollars wasted on crap social programs here at home. Our government throws more money on the floor every day for lazy people who will not work. That is what really gets my blood boiling.
