That is the male mentality. To see two women getting it on is hot to them. Women need to speak up about wanting to see two men

This is interesting to me because honestly, I have seen far more gay men in the mainstream media than I have lesbians. It seems to me that gay men are more socially accepted than gay women. For instance, the (mainstream) bookstore where I work has three magazine aimed at gay men and only one at women (plus The Advocate, which seems to target both audiences). There are many examples of mainstream literature and movies which feature gay men but I can think of only a few that feature lesbians. Sure, there is always the 'guys loving lesbians' joke but I'm talking pop culture here. Look at, say, "Brokeback Mountain", huge media buzz, etc. Is there any lesbian equivalent?

Of course, I'm a straight girl so I would like to know if any lesbians feel this way or if I am just looking in the wrong places!

The idea of two women at it (and being invited to join in) fills a need which exists in the base male psyche of spreading one's seed; to produce as many heirs as possible.

However, according to that same animal aspect of male psyche, two men would be in competition; were a woman to join in the fray.

Those who can't understand male homosexual acts seem to forget that we no longer act, exclusively, on base instinct.

Personally speaking, I am that sauce which is equally good for the goose and the gander! LOL!

first has to do with the gender inequality in how men are greater than women. So two women together is like something a man can enjoy seeing and more people are accepting of women dressing and acting like men then men acting and dressing like women. So anything associated with being a "man" is good and anything associated with a "woman" is bad. So two men together is seen as not being a "man" and nasty. People see a "man" as being only with women and acting masculine even though not all gay men act feminine.

It is a double standard

Because, like it or not, this is a manly man's world. It is the primary fantasy of most of the straight me I have talked to to watch two women together. So if that is what the men want to see then it is acceptable.

I think it's because most people think it's more hot for two women to be together than two men. Most men get really turned on by two women sleeping together, but not two men. And most women would also see two women together than two men as well. To me if your hot and sexy it's all good.

Our society in the US is still prejudiced in a lot of ways. I personally think bisexuality in both men and women is totally normal and acceptable, however I think my opinion is rare. Good for you for not hiding your sexuality- nobody should have to!

woman aren't usually too offended with lesbians, and are becoming more accepting of gay guys. most men, however, love the idea of 2 women, but absolutely HATE the idea of 2 men together. they are afraid that if they accept gay men, then others will think they are gay, and think less of them, so to avoid being accused of being gay, they show hatred towards gay males, and not gay females. It also works against women sometimes too, but not as often.

Gay men are perceived by some straight men to be a threat to the egos, while seeing two women together excites them.

Since this is a male-dominated society, there is something about two women making love that drives men nuts.
