That depends, some people want to be judged on their appearance. Think about it, Goths, skaters, surfers, punks, etc all want to portray a certain belief system and they do this by their clothing. A persons appearance is the first contact we have with them, before they even open their mouth we can attempt to figure out a little about who they are.

No the way someone looks says nothing about who a person is on the inside and what really lives in his or her heart. It may give you an idea about what you think someone is like but that doesn't mean that this is really so.
I dont think we should be judging people at all because we cannot see into other people's hearts and minds and see what lives there that makes them act or behave the way they do.

Oh my goodness, so many people are on their politically correct high horses. The fact of the matter is how you speak, dress, and behave are all indicators of who the underlying person is or aspires to be. He is sending out a message to the world that this is who he is or at least who you should think he is. Now, I don't believe in "judging" at all for no one has the right to judge another person, but we all do draw conclusions of a persons character and motive by the subtle and not so subtle message that you send out into the world by way of your appearance and conduct. If a person is dressed like a "gangsta" made popular by the media, a person with tattoos, loose baggy clothing, gang colors, displaying gang signs and presenting themselves as a menacing presence are we wrong to draw the conclusion that this is not a person I would like standing behind me in line at an ATM. Or if a woman decides to wear short shorts that barely cover her, a low plunging neckline and tons of makeup then are the guys who approach her wrong for drawing a conclusion that she is seeking male attention. Maybe, but this is a two way street and the person who dresses or acts to emulate a sterotype must bare some burden as well.
In short should we draw conclusions about people based on the way they look? If by look you refer to dress and act then yes as we are only being receptive to the message that the person is willfully trying to send out.

"NEVER!" it's the most inhumane thing to do. Think about if you want to be judged by your look. For exampe, if Beyounce thought that way her looks could be gone within seconds. It takes nothing for something tragic to happen and then what? Those same people you judged will be the ones to assist you in your time of need. Life has a way of teaching us lessons.

Everyone says they don't (or we shouldn't) judge people by their looks, but everyone does.
Whom are you more likely to engage in a conversation, a nicely dressed person with a smile or his or her face or an unshaven old man with dirty clothes panhandling on the street?
Should we judge people this way? In most cases, probably not. But we do.

Its not a wise thing to say but I've experienced that corrupt people have a corrupt look on their faces while innocent people look innocent too. Though this may not be true in every instance but it does hold some truth. Or probably I am inspired by Oscar Wilde's 'Picture of Dorian Gray'.

Whether we SHOULD or not is irrelevant. It's just human nature that we DO judge people by appearances. It's also human nature that we deliberately choose our look (at least as far as clothing, hairstyle, etc.) as a statement about who we are and what we're all about. If you've got a complaint about how people are treating you, remember: YOU are the one who told them what to think about you!

No we shouldn't judging a book by it's cover is never a good way to know what a person is like. Just because they have tattoos and piercings doesn't mean their a criminal and just because someone shaves their head doesn't make them a skin head. My family is great at doing this it drives me batty.
