I am only in favor of the death penalty. I believe that some crimes justify capital punishment, like multiple murders or rapes. However, an abortion ends an innocent human life. If a women decides she isn't ready for a baby, then she should be careful, or keep her knees together.

Well no, I think I do not agree actually.

One often sees the question posed by pro-abortion advocates that asks how pro-life advocates can embrace the death penalty but oppose abortion. Some pro-lifers oppose both or course, but others, like myself, favor the death penalty but oppose abortion, and you may fairly ask how the one can be reconciled with the other within the bounds of the sanctity of life.

One stark difference between the two, at least to me, is that persons subjected to the death penalty have committed some act so heinous that a civilized society has deemed it intolerable and has defined the penalty as forfeiture of life. One can certainly debate, even within religious circles, whether it is man's place to take life or not, under any circumstances, and I 've seen powerful arguments on both sides.

Still, one cannot seriously equate the taking of a convicted murderer's life with the taking of that of an innocent child. For what crime are they being punished? Who represented their interests at trial? What jury of their peers heard their pleas for mercy?

Surely if you afford a criminal so much, you can do no less for a helpless child. We may debate at length whether the death penalty constitutes cruel and unusual punishment, but there is no debate as to whether that is so when one murders a child.

Neither is a very good solution to the problem. Abortion does kill baby's. (I don't think the government ought to be involved in the decision between the Dr. and the person however) or the death penalty which makes murderers out of the government and really does not solve any problems. To many innocent people on death row that an over zealous prosecutor has put there because he could.

Interesting question. I am in 100% support of the death penalty as long as the DNA support the crime, and the person is found guilty in a court of law.

Abortion. A hard topic. But I think it is best left to a woman, as long as they know that there are people that can not have a baby and would like one.

No, I am against both. Neither are good. Abortion involves killing innocents and on occasion the death penalty has led to the execution of innocents as well.

The death penalty. I don't agree with abortion, but I also don't think it's my place to tell some woman I don't know, what she can and cannot do with her body.
