Well it seems you answered your question. Get out while you can. A person that is controlling will always be controlling.

I love your choice of words! He's controlling, he invades your privacy, he doesn't respect your wishes, and he holds you to a double standard (w/r/t you having to report your whereabouts while he doesn't), but y'all "are good together".

Please allow me to point out the obvious: No. You're not good together. Neither of you are trusting or respecting the other enough as a person to give each other privacy (you've admitted to checking his email also).

Cut and clear; get yourself a new boyfriend *and* a new email address.

okay hun, first things first...yall should have never think that it was "OK" to check each others email...thats when the problem starts...then he will think that ok, so i opened her mail, i can keep tabs on her, and while im at it i can control her...you see there are certain boundaries, i believe men and women should not cross, and thats called PRIVACY...my best advice is, if he's too controlling u got to do sumthin NOW..dont wait until the situation is too far gone...it will be too late...think abt it, if thats the way hes treating u now...why would he treat u any different if your relationship were to get more intimate and serious???..think about it hun..bye..

He's definitely got control issues, and I despise anyone who would invade my privacy like that. That's an issue that will only get worse unless he seeks help. Do you want to deal with that?

ps the gal above me nailed it!
