parallel port configuration for resetting bios password???
Lost me on that one.
To clear a BIOS password on a lattitude, unplug it and remove the battery so ther is no power to the laptop. Open the laptop (look up the model on support.dell.com and they will have specific instructions) and look for a small battery pack (again supprot.dell.com will have specific instructions for your model). Unplug the battery and let the laptop sit for a couple hours. The BIOS password will clear.

What are you talking about? The parallel port configuration has absolutely nothing to do with resetting the BIOS password.

Till where i remember tell latititudee password cannot be reserted or changed since the manufactures has added no modify security but you can still open it since manufacturer has set bckup password each latitude carry different based on serail and model no
