according to greek legend prometheus gave us fire, and as a punishment zeus had him chained to a big rock and had 2 vultures come down and peck him to death, eating the flesh from his bones while he was still alive.
then the next morning prometheus would wake fully healed and the whole process would start again (in theory he is still there somewhere) being pecked to death for an eternity......
so does anyone else have a job that they would gladly swap with prometheus or is it just me?

I swear, if you switch jobs with him, I'll kill you.... ok maybe not, but I would come and find you and free you.... or maybe take advantage of the fact that you're chained and..... Ok i'll save that for later.....lol

I can't imagine what it is that you do for work that you would rather be tied to a rock and have your intestines eaten by birds for eternity.... I mean Tantalus had it pretty bad too- doomed to live in the underworld- with water as high as his neck which he was unable to drink- and with fruit trees all around him that he was unable to reach- forced to starve and dehydrate.... but then again- Tantalus cooked and served his own son- where as Prometheus stole fire from the gods to give to man since his bone-head brother Epimetheus gave all the cool gifts for humans and animals to the Animals.

But cheer up! seriously get a new job!

There was a guy who was sent to Hell for being a really bad person and when he was allocated his own particular demon of torment he was taken to a pit two feet deep in pig manure.
There he saw a hundred or so people standing about in the mess up to their knees, drinking cofee, smoking, and idly chatting.
"Hmm - this isn't too bad for eternal punishment!" he thought.
Then a siren sounded and the demons with goads came out and shouted,
"Coffee break over, back standing on your heads..."
