Multiply the 2 dimensions together to get the area of the rectangle.
Then take the square root of that number - this will be the length of the sides of the square.

First calculate the area of the rectangle.

55x 30= 1650

All sides of a square area same, say it is "A"

so

AxA= 1650

so A is square root of 1650

so

A=40.620192 ( using a calculator with square root Key)

So it will be Square with = 40.62019 mm. sides.

length of rectangle = 55mm
breadth of rectangle = 30mm
area of rectangle = length x breadth = area of square
= 55x 30 = area of square = side x side
side = under-root of (1650)
side = 40.62mm
i.e. the square of side 40.62 mm

got it!!
