to get a form notarized in US? should we or not pay for that?

I have never had to pay for that service. The bank or credit union where you bank, should be able to do that for no charge. You will need to have your ID and they will make a copy of it. But that should be all.

The answer is "It Depends" -- Banks and Credit Unions for their account holders, will usually notarize documents for free. Sometimes the place you work for will notarize documents for free. If you have to use a notary at a courthouse or other place, then a fee will apply -- and it depends on the place you are using -- could be anything -- but usually less than $100.

My bank notarizes documents for free. If I needed something notarized after banking hrs, I have paid 1.50 to 2.50 elsewhere.
