A number of answers ;-)
1.Is Firefox or Motzilla better than IE??.

The very best is Opera. Between Firefox or Mozilla and IE, I choose Firefox.

2.Will the other browsers make my surfing faster??.

Opera, with its included mouse-gestures and keyboard shortcuts will improve your browsing efficiency of 30, maybe 50%(with compatible sites only - there's the big problem).

3.Are there any security issues I should know about before downloading one of these other browsers??.

I'm not a pro in security, but baseb on my readings, I trust Firefox more about this issue.

4.To cut through all the BULLS$#T please let me know what are the pros/cons of doing this??.

Doing what ? Switch to Firefox ? or Opera ?

I think both have to be installed in your computer.

Firefox is cool, but be ready to download a lot of add-ons.

Opera is GREAT and you don't have to install any add-ons or more plugins than the usual ones. But many webmasters don't care about Opera when building pages and some sites may look akward.

1. I prefer Mozilla Firefox
2. No. To make browsers run faster. You have to download the Google web accelerator http://webaccelerator.google.com/
3. Any security issues known are already worked out in updates. When you run firefox and there is an update just click later and tomorrow when you start it up it will be updated
4. Pros: You are not stuck with the ugly look of it. You can download themes for it. Also when you download things it has a download manager, that dosn't clutter up your desktop with windows
Cons: Some pages and games o not suppor firefox and look wierd luckly there is a button that tells the comany about it. And there is a thing that you can download that shows it just like it would do in internet explorer.

Firefox has a tabs feature. It helps clear up your desttop with windows. You wil see.

Mozilla Firefox beats IE all to he**! Yes firefox is twice as fast as IE. They have an extention you can download called fasterfox. Works great! They have adblock also. And flashblock. Both block all ads. It works pretty well. I have an ad pop up once in a while but it's well worth it not to have to see any ads. No security issues that I know of in installing firefox. The pros far outweigh the cons on this one as far as I'm concerned. There just isn't any comparison. Mozilla Firefox wins hands down. It's faster, & more fun. You can custom design your browser, you can go through all their themes & extentions & download all you want with no worries. Sorry but I just can't thiink of any cons to this one.

1.firefox is by mozilla and it is better than IE. it has a better interface and live bookmark support.
2.firefox renders pages faster so your browsing will be faster.
3 actually IE is more open to security issues than firefox because there is a team of people locating problems and fixing them constantly because the browser is mozillas main focus, Microsoft is focused on their next Windows OS.
4pros of switching
faster browsing
really good pop up blocker [no pop ups since i switched from ie 6 mo ago!]
better interface
tabbed browsing
uses less resources than ie
customizeable with extentions
east transition from IE

cons of switching
will not render sites designed for ie go to mozilla.com but you can just use ie tab extention

i have been an IE user for...YEARS. i woke up one day and switched to mozille (firefox). probably the best browser i have ever used!!! bar none. the features of firefox are GREAT. so great in fact that the next IE 7 will have some of those great features. such as "tabbed" browsing. a WONDERFUL feature...lets you use tabs at the top instead of opening up a bunch of seperate browsers for different pages....it has very easy to use addons to customize.....actually just read about it...you will see how much better firefox is than IE....

and yes firefox is a little faster, contrary to what is stated above!

the only reason firefox is better than IE is because it doesnt read the CSS directly. This in turn, makes browsing fastr. If you have service pack 2, popups will be eliminated with IE.

Personaly, i like Flock. It's better tahn Mozilla Firefox, and IE.

mozilla firefox is way better than ie........firefox could open tabs, or pages of websites, as many at a time, and you could go back and forth on them as much as you want without opening another window.

firefox has better security also.
