We are planning on home schooling our 5 yr old daughter. We have looked at many sites on the web.But would like some input from someone who has home schooled & can make a recommendation. We prefer a religious based one, but any good program would be helpful.Only serious responces please.Thank you.

Thank you to all for answering, everything has been helpful.

To lil'brainiac - thank you for your input & concern, but my girls get lots social contact at church & play groups, so don't worry about that.

To Alek - Thanks for the great info, it's been helpful.

To IrishKar - Thanks for the info on OakMeadow, but I don't think its for us, but thank you for your input.

To brendastarful - I really like FCA & may consider it but it is expensive so I may have to go with something else.

To Kevin - Thanks for ALL the sites, I'm still going through them, but I appreciate you providing them.

Its hard to pick a winner as all your answers have been helpful, I'm still trying to decide. If any of you have anymore personal experiences, please let me know.

Thanks again for all of your help.

I know that the A Beka Book program includes very good home school options and is used by a lot of my friends:

Also, BJU Press has homeschooling materials, though I can't find much on their website. Further personal contact may be required:

I've also found a website that may be of some help to you. It a is Christian homeschooling community with forums, chats, and information regarding homeschooling that may be able to help you find programs that appeal to you:

Hope this was helpful.

Look up www.oakmeadow.com because it is, to me, the best site for home schooling. We use it and love it.

I would enrole your kid at F.C.A. they are totally fun! They even have fieldtrips every month! If you wanted you could even enrole full-time, they also have sports and p.e. If any homeschool pick this one!
