We have just come back from Turkey and it's fab. We have been to Side and Hisaronu near Olu a deniz. Both Plaes are fab and if you don't go then you will really miss a treat. We were put off a few years ago because of the bomb that went off in Kusadasi. i really wish we had gone. Anyway the country is beautiful and the people are great.
I know you will be wary of going after the bombs in Marmaris but if you think about it bombs can go off anywhere now and they do. It's up to you but I think you should because you will miss out on a lovely time.

Don't come. Because the terrorists (who are supported by OTHER countries which the Turkish government are not obeying) are bombing touristic places. This is a bad time.

Normally, there is nothing wrong with coming to Turkey. The touristic places are very nice and fun. Always something historical and artsy to see and learn. People are very friendly. But I'm talking about touristic places. Eastern cities may be different.

I had the same worries when going to Egypt a couple of months ago, we were actually due to stay overnight in Dahab where the bombing had just taken place. We were due 3 weeks after the bombing.

We decided to go, figuring that the chances of being hurt by a bomb are WAY WAY lower than being run over!

We had a great time, wouldnt' have missed it for anything.

I say - go!

You know you are probably as safe there as any other western tourist attraction in the world today. I imagine by then things will have calmed down in Turkey and there will be a massive security presence on the coast, I would go for sure.

You are obviously worried because you wouldn't of asked the question. I would check with the Foreign Office and see if they are advising people to go or to not go. If you are worried you could always go to the tor operator and see if you can transfer your holiday to a differant destination.
I Am sure you will be fine.

Personally I would be a bit worried, I would contact the travel agent I booked with and see what my options are like if you can transfer your holiday to another country and if you are entitled to a refund. I also would look into it myself via internet papers etc. If you do decide to travel to this area be very aware of your surroundings and be very vigilant
Good luck & travel safely

Check the CIA World Fact Book:

They don't seem to have any warnings.

Be careful about strangers asking you to take packages for them. Drug traffic is high and illegal, and they love to catch foreigners.

No, these things happen everywhere. I would go and enjoy myself.

There have been bombs before in London for years and years and I have never been worried about going there.

Well, in a rather cruel way, you're probably safer to go at the moment now there's been a recent terrorist attack than if there wasn't one.
