what actually happened at the superdome and convention centre after hurricane katrina?

i live in australia and hear about the 'infamous superdome and convention centres' but have never heard anything about what actually went on ther.

Human beings were forced into a very confined space and denied everything but survival needs. Humanity at it's worse happened. There were more than a few people who died. There were reports of all manner crimes but becuase of the disorganization it's difficult to confirm what happened. People inside abbandonned it after a few days and the aid effort fell appart without centralized support.

I was here for Katrina and luckily was safe and didn't have to go there. First, the heat here was stifling. People had no food or water. Both places got absolutely trashed. Convention centre is now open, Superdome will be soon. In both places they were fights, murders and lots of rapes.

As A Marine who did help out down there human beings did lose there lives. It became almost continuously older human beings that purely could not get clinical interest. this is only a shame that our goverment extremely enable us down!! the city continues to be in poor structure and money has gone lacking.
