I am only five weeks pregnant and I am sick with a sinus infection or something. I had a fever of 100.3 this morning. Would it be ok for me to see my general practitioner instead of my gyno for this? And also, could this hurt my baby?

This cannot hurt the baby. A temperature of 100.3 is not a fever, normal body temperature ranges from 95.9-100.6 degrees. You should call your general practitioner, inform them that you are pregnant to be sure they put you on antibiotics that are safe for the baby. Usually the antibiotics they prescribe for a sinus infection are safe for the baby. You just need to be a little bit cautious when using eurythromycin, but that is later on through pregnancy. Good luck!

Yes, it's ok to see your GP for this. Just always mention that you're pregnant.

Being sick with a cold or other things are usually no problem while pregnant. What you have to watch out for is your temperature. High temperature for the mom is not good for the unborn child. Watch your temperature and don't let it go higher than it is. Take Tylenol to keep it down, as this is just about the only medication that's safe during pregnancy.

Don't think it would hurt the baby, but you should a least phone the doctor or use NHS direct website, you can find the exact address in google

I'd say call the general practitioner first- but make sure you inform him/her that you are pregnant. Your doc will advise you where to go from there. :)
