Several theories, religons would claim and define death according to their own teachings or philosophy. Science would define it as the end of the cellular activities that keeps our body functioning. Some believe in souls. Who has an answer or another different theory to this?

You will 'go' nowhere. You already are there. You simply lose your earthly shell. You are a spirtual/cosmic/divine being who is having an earthly experience. To expect that your earthly existence will transcend you to some ethereal realm is (take your choice dependent upon religion) is nonsense.

You are already connected to the 'afterlife', just distracted by your earthbound experience. Try to remove this distraction and then you will know where you will be when your spirit is no longer tied to your body.

Into the earth and the bodies of other organisms. As my body decays its molecules will breakdown and be consumed by various bacteria, fungi and animals which will then go on to feed others. My ideas will either continue in generations after me or be discarded and replaced in favor of something better.

Since no one knows for sure what happens to life after the death, I mean what is the afterlife, then the truth must be the personal ideas of each, your version about the subject must be your own truth (a relative one, but for you the real one) unless someone for sure bring proofs about what is in the afterlife that is all we got.

The religion that my family brought me up in says that it's either Heaven or Hell. I won't know until I get there, but if it's all a fable then I'll just die and never know anything else ever again. Caput, nada, nothing.

You go nowhere as you cease to exist. It's like before you were born, you don''t exist, thus you are nowhere. Lights out. Curtain comes down. The End.
