In modern towns and cities, the biggest problem of star gazing is bounce-back from street lights and buildings. Anywhere you can find away from these, or above them (such a a tower block roof) will give you a better view of the night sky. (assuming a clear night free of cloud or pollution)

You need to find a dark place without too many lights and not too many trees or tall buildings to block your view. Is there such a place in Singapore?
