It lists things such as seemingly innocent emails, cell phone conversations, not so business lunches and maybe even dinners. The author said there's something missing in your marriage and you don't seek it out but it happens and you deem it ok since it's not sex.

In my opinion that's the only kind of cheating that matters. The sex is just icing on the cake. The fact that this sort of cheating is considered acceptable and sex isn't just proves how little most people know about what makes or breaks a marriage.

The problem isn't when a man cheats because he wants some action on the side. The problem is when the man cheats because he want some love and affection and he goes outside his marriage to get it.

I agree. Cheating comes in all forms. When you should be working on your marriage one many people instead try and cover up the pain or stress by looking for someone elsewhere, even if it starts out as just innocent talking. If your married you shouldn't be talking online (email or chat) to the opposite sex period. Obvious exceptions are friends and family.

If you spend too much time talking to a person who is not your spouse and spending a lot of time with him/her, I feel there is a problem. If you are constantly thinking about this "other" person and can't wait to see them, then there is a problem. I feel that it will only be a matter of time before more than just friendship happens. There is nothing wrong with being friendly with someone of the opposite sex, unless you keep it hidden from your spouse and you need to think if this person of the same sex, would you be spending that much time with him/her. You have to be very careful in a situation like this. Also have to ask yourself, would you be comfortable with your spouse listening to your everyday conversation with this person, or would it bother your spouse.

I agree. If my hubby went out with another woman, I would be upset, even if no sex. I want him to take me out!
