This really is a huge question, and not one that could be answered in a few lines on here. You ned to do some serious research before attempting an answer. Try 'wikipedia' to begin with, or ask at your local library for a good book on the subject.

I've lived a long time, but I'll never understand why we refer to a religion as "Jewish People". Is this a new "Race"?

There are "people", of all races, who are Italians, Germans, Russians, Americans, Polish, Africa....in all countries, who practice the "Jewish Religion".

Are people who practice religions of "Christianity", "Islam", "Buddhism",
"Hinduism", "Atheism", whatever religion, a new race?

To your question, this may be the most damaging effect that I see. The world sees "Religion" as the identifying factor of all people. Even within ones own country.
We are no longer "AMERICANS". We have become "Christians, "Jews", "Muslims",
"Atheists", etc, etc, etc, etc, and /or Mexican-Americans, Italian-Americans,
African-Americans, etc, etc, etc, etc.

Give thanks to all politicians, everywhere, in their desire for "VOTES".
