I can only speak from my own experience which is, when my husband died I received a large sum of money in which some of his family members stayed lingering behind for weeks finding out my business, and making out, as to be they helping me in my grief, but soon enough I saw that they were chiseling me for my husband's insurance money. It didn't take long before they were telling me their money problems, asking to borrow money.. When people are after you for interest, you can see the greed in their eyes, and actions.
I lost respect for them after that, It was a hard lesson to learn about people.

To keep your genuine friends don't give anyone a gift more expensive than the ones they give you.

when they stand by you and they pay their own way...it is really hard to find genuine friends even if you did not have money....but some will use you just for your money....but you should learn them if you watch out for signs of them using you...

if a person is always there for you with or without money...
when your happy or sad... that's a genuine friend but the otherwise is just using you...
