I do not have any intake of sugar at the moment and do not drink coffee or teas with sugar in. At work recently i have been feeling really very dizzy and distant & cannot focus on things. I fell as though i am going to faint. Could it be my lack of sugar, and would you suggest a few cups of coffee would help (with sugar)?

Regards
Mike

I've fainted a few times. Sugar doesn't help very much at all.

Try to get to the root of the problem: Low Iron, Possible Diabetes, lack of protein... things like that.

Fruits such as Bananas help with not fainting a lot.
See a doctor about this, it's pretty important, could mean something else is wrong

Dizziness could be a sign of low blood sugar, but my first recommendation would be to drink more water. Fatigue and dizziness are common signs of dehydration, and most Americans are chronically dehydrated. Drink at least 16 ounces of water before leaving for work in the morning, more if you work out in the morning. You should drink at least 8 - 8 oz glasses of water per day, plus another 8 oz for every 15 minutes of strenuous exercise you get. If it's been hot, again, drink more. You may find it's a simple solution. I wouldn't recommend coffee to cure dizziness and if you've been drinking coffee in place of water in the morning (after your body's already depleted of fluids) that might be the problem. If you continue to feel dizzy, have a piece of fruit in the morning, and if dizziness still persists, see a doctor as it may be an inner ear or low blood pressure problem.

Try eating some protein. Carbs will give you a sugar rush, but then a drastic drop in sugars, which causes DIZZINESS. Eat some nuts or seeds of some kind. Then see your doctor.

No not sugar. This will only temporarily relieve you. You need to eat a meal with carbohydrates in it. Not refined carbs though. Have an apple with some whole grain toast and peanut butter. You need food not sugar.
