He told her she would find some cannabis seeds he was meaning to grow one day and she could have them. So my friend being a middle aged female does not know what to do with these seeds, something about laying them on wet cotton wool until they germinate? Please help.

Ah yes, germination. That's pretty much it, keep a light on it, but not so close as to dry out the cotton. Can take a 4/5 days sometimes.

Tell your friend to download or read instructions on how to grow tomato plants from seed, the EXACT same can be applied to cannibis, she must remember though that the plants will be mature quite quickly so she should time it to when her son gets home otherwise it will be a waste.

I didn't know that growing cannabis was legal in the UK. I would throw them away. In the US, the law enforcement agencies have some high tech ways of detecting illicit gardening.

germinating seeds has alot to do with temp. ideal temp. is around 70 degrees.keep them moist on about any grow medium.
if she plans on growing outside, plan on planting in spring,if in doors , use an almanac to mimic spring time day light hours.

UK: Possessing Cannabis seeds is not a criminal offense in the UK. It is, however, a serious offense to 'cultivate Cannabis' for which she could be arrested and sent to jail. Her best course of action is to flush them down the toilet and tell no-one..............
