Who the hell do you think you are to support anybody's rights on this forum? Granted, you have taken over this forum with your protagonism but you are not its owner and you don't have the right to tell anybody which team they should root for, so we'll still support whoever we please. If you think it's a mistake and we are supporting the wrong team, it's ok, it's your opinion, but it's not the absolute truth. There's no wrong or right teams. You hate Italy because they defeated France in the final and your idol Zidane ended his career in disgrace because of his reaction to an Italian player's words. But if Germany or Argentina or Brazil or any other team had played France in the final and had won, you would be hating them now, and they would be the wrong team. Remember that every team has its Materazzi, trash talk happens on the pitch, it's common routine, and Zidane headbutted a German player and stomped on an Arab one in the past, so the whole incident didn't happen just because Italians have filthy mouths. It's not a question of nationality. Unless you have more personal reasons to hate Italians [did your girlfriend cheat on you with an Italian? Did you have an Italian girlfriend who dumped you? Did you have an Italian teacher in school whom you hated? Did you fail Italian class? Do you work with Italian people and for some reason you can't stand them?]. If so, at least you have reasons to hate them, even if it's stupid because generalizing always is. But if you don't, then it's scary, and maybe you should seek professional help.

Depends on your definition of "supporting the wrong team". I remember on the day of the final match, the priests in our Italian community opened the Sunday masses so that people could pray for "the better team".
Everyone on this site has the right to express their own true opinion, as long as they don't offend others. I hope you're still in favour of that "peace treaty" about not hurling insults at each other.
So, this question was supposed to "lighten up the mood"? Um... guess it hasn't.

keep the sarcasm for your team. we are talking national team here,i believe it is understood that every italian shoul rout for the italian team. like every french should rout for the french team.there have been wars declared for lesser insults to the national pride.however looking at the french national team i find it difficult to find enough frenchman to fill a hand,i find tunisians, algerians, marocchians,and God knows whar other nationality. if the italian selector would have selected the players indiscriminately like the french did .half the french team would have played for italy. i 'am talking about the players that are playmg for italian teams.examples.viera ,thurahm,treseguet even the henry and zidane have had their days in italian teams training and somewhat learning or add to their skills.zidane have won the golden ball while playing for juventus of turin.traditionaly italian and french teams enjoied good cooperation. let's not put discord among their fans. people like touzor and some jurnalist irresponsable,certanly do not help. we have won our 4th world cup becouse we are the best.
