wich one is the best material for a cold intake, plastic or aluminum?

I'd go with a plastic that is capable of standing up to underhood temperatures. Some, like PVC, are not the best at taking the heat of an engine compartment.

It's cheap enough to make one, however the AEM CAI is an excellent choice for many mfg's. I have 4 sports cars, all with CAI made from aluminum. Stay legal with the logo stuff from AEM,. Injen, etc..
