You might not believe this, but, honestly its true. I won a holiday off a certain lager to go anywhere in the world for myself and seven friends and a Lear Jet for seven days plus Spending money each. I took my family away in May this year, we went to the Caribbean, staying on Barbados, Tobago, Antigua, St Lucia, St Kitts, flying from each Island in the Lear Jet, our pilots were lovely they were called Roger & Craig. It was a totally out of this World Holiday, Something that will never happen to me ever again.

Thanksgiving...I know it sounds terrible but it's a holiday where you get a day off, you can eat as much yummy stuff as you like and not feel guilty, and you don't even have to buy anyone a present. Christmas is so expensive and stressful, Easter makes you feel guilty because Jesus died for our sins and all that jazz...but Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on everything and be thankful for how far we have come as North Americans...oh and to of course eat loads of pumpkin pie!!!

Christmas because I enjoy the holidays spent with family and friends. It is the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I enjoy the atmosphere in town when you drive around with all the decorations. Also, it's a good time to think of others and buy them gifts or give them gifts also. Sending Christmas cards is fun too.

My favorite holiday is New Year's. All the other holidays are overrated and with New Year's, you can start new and feel good about it. Besides, you get to do a little celebrating with it and not feel guilty about it. :)

Christmas because I love taking long drives and looking at the decorations. Everyone seems nicer around that time of year for some reason. Lastly, because I love picking out the perfect gift and making someone happy (Its a bonus when they cry). Receiving gifts is okay, but its better to be in the position to give.

Dear Wendy,

My favorite holiday tends to vary as I lose my youth, and gain wisdom. In early yeas it is of course Christmas, and as the feeling of capitalism takes hold, I tended to drift from the "true meaning" of that holiday. As a youth in my teens, my favorite turned to labor day, as it signaled the end of summer, and time to have family vacations. Now a days, I feel myself falling in love with St.Valentines day, and all the love that it brings. If I had a wish, it would be that we celebrate every day as if it were valentines day all year long!!!

Thank you for asking,

Huggs and Kisses,,,,

Lonnie

I don't have a favorite holiday... holidays are commercialized schemes to get your money, in my opinion. My son likes christmas and his birthday though, because they are about him.

Christmas
One because it's the birth of our Savior Christ the Lord
Second because it's a day where I know I can spend with my entire family without having to worry about working or even cooking or cleaning...
Third I love to watch my kids faces as they open presents and my hubby and I sip on hot chocolate and listen to christmas music...its all so romantic and peaceful...

I am in the Air force, stationed at Moody AFB, in ga. Since being down there every year we build our own haunted house. So My number one event of the year is Halloween. You get to dress up and scare the **** out of innocent bystanders.
