I will watch the new season of Survivor. I watch VERY little television, but Survivor is one show I do watch. If they continue to set each season up the same, do the same challenges, split the tribes the same...do everything the same, they will lose television viewers. They want this to stir people, they want us to talk about this. That is what is called publicity. People that haven't watched the show will tune in, just to see "what happens". Those that are offended, have the option of not watching. That is what I do, if there is something on that I don't like.

I like Ethan the best, the Survivor Africa winner. I liked the way Ethan played the game, straight and down to earth. He treated everyone well and was very well-liked and popular. Unfortunately, Ethan has been going through a battle with Hodgkin's Disease for some time. I hope he can beat this illness and that he truly turns out to be a survivor in life, too.

At first glance it does sound a bit un-PC but I guess you could make a correlation to the fact that sooner or later the four "tribes" will have to merge and what ever mix is left will need to work together as one tribe. Sort of like what should be going on in the world right now if the human race would wake up ;-)

I stopped watching it around Season 3, but I saw the ad for this season. I actually thought it reflects our current social condition in America. Sure, we try to be "politically correct" and tout that everyone is equal, but we still have all the labels and attitudes that segregate us.
I might actually start watching again, just to see if a reality TV show can even come close to solving the problems we still have with racial bias.

I've never watched Survivor or any of those stupid "reality" shows. Yeah he has gone too far. He is getting desparate because the ratings have declined. And he wants to do something different to attract viewers instead of doing the same thing as in years past.

I personally am not offended by the concept. It's just another gimmick to get people to watch "Survivor" after it being on the air for a few years now. For me, the people who're offended are quick to label everything "politically incorrect." I am against racism of any kind, but I just don't think this qualifies as racism.

Yes, as I think it puts people into groups and if one team keeps on winning it will seem like a blanket statement for that race. Also, I don't understand the purpose of separating teams by race. Why is this needed?

I do but I don't . . . he changes a lot of the things in the the show . . . . rules, ways something works, etc. It is a really good show and people make fun of it but you know would you last in that show? Most people wouldn't
